Objectives

 

 

DHL Central Asia Hub, operated by DHL Aviation (HK) Limited, is the first dedicated express cargo terminal at Hong Kong International Airport, situating on 3.5-hectares area.  It is the first large scale automated express hub in Asia Pacific.  The automated facility has a throughput of 75,000 pieces per hour of flyers and conveyable shipments with a throughput cycle time of just seven minutes.  The operation is capable of handling 40 million shipments a year.  Being the first international express company to enter Greater China, DHL has extensive experience and deep knowledge of this market.   What is the role of DHL Central Asia Hub in the regional market?  Does e-Commerce facilitate the growth of DHL as regional hub?  Through the visit, this is the opportunity for the members to understand more the DHL hub operation and its state-of-art automated facilities.  Equally important, the networking amongst the members is highly expected.
