Elderly home visit - Mid-Autumn

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival for families to gather together. On this meaningful day, our members from the LT Division spent their time on Sunday (17 Sep 2017) to share the happiness of the festival with needy elderly. At first, our members sent “fortune bags” with festival greetings to elderly people living on their own in the Tuen Mun District. With the support of Well Family, a non-governmental organization, all volunteers also took the “fortune bags” to around 120 elderly people over the weekend before the Mid-Autumn Festival. Volunteers tried to understand the living conditions of the elderly and any special needs they might have to feed back to Well Family for them to follow up. Throughout the visits both volunteers and their kids enjoyed the warm experience of showing their love to the gentle elderly folk.
