Please note that the Technical visit to the University of Hong Kong - imseCAVE VR systems will be held on Tuesday, 6 March 2018 from 10:00
to 11:30 am.
The imseCAVE VR systems has been
successfully adopted in the training of skilled operators who can benefit from
the simulation of huge and complicated logistics systems. These systems include automated air cargo terminals
and port container terminals under the cooperation of different
industries. The VR systems help the
study of aviation logistics industry and port container terminals without
interrupting their day-to-day operation.
The trainees can then be trained offline and practice the skill in a
secure and controlled environment.
Through this visit, participants can be familiar with the latest virtual
reality technology and its development.
In addition, participants can undergo the process of using virtual
reality in the imseCAVE VR system at HKU and experience other personalized VR
devices or interfaces.
The visit is
free of charge and the number of participants is limited to 20. The applications will be accepted on a
first-come first-served basis. For
